
2-10 years’ Experience preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred, or able to attain within two years.

- Learn fundamentals of pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) design
- Learn and become fluent in designing PEMB using Metal Building Software (MBS)
- Provide project cost estimating support
- Develop civil site plans for building permit applications
- Develop structural foundation plans for building permit applications
- Coordinate with design team for development and preparation of structural and architectural plans for building permit applications
- Calculate structural design loads per International Building Code (IBC-current edition) and ASCE 7 (current edition) and other applicable codes
- Perform engineering plan review
- Perform quantity take-offs from engineering plans
- Prepare engineering plans and details using AutoCAD
- Perform field inspections & field staff construction support
- Review building permit submittal documents and plans for Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) compliance
- Work jurisdictions during permit process

Salary: Depends on qualifications (55k-85k per year)
