With a\u00a0 strong commitment to safety, CRSC is seeking a Safety Officer to lead our safety initiatives and\u00a0 ensure the well-being of our employees, subcontractors and stakeholders.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>Job Summary:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>
The Safety Officer will play a pivotal role in continuing safety culture within our organization.\u00a0 This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive\u00a0 safety programs and practices across all phases of our steel building manufacturing and general\u00a0 contracting operations. The Safety Officer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate\u00a0 employees on safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with local and\u00a0 federal regulations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>Key Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>- Develop and execute a proactive safety strategy to minimize accidents, injuries, and\u00a0 incidents throughout our steel building manufacturing and general contracting\u00a0 processes.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
- Lead the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety policies,\u00a0 procedures, and guidelines to align with industry best practices and regulations. <\/span>\u2022 <\/span>Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments to identify potential\u00a0 hazards, unsafe practices, and areas for improvement.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, supervisors, and other relevant\u00a0 stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution. <\/span>\u2022 <\/span>Provide leadership and guidance in the event of emergencies, accidents, or incidents,\u00a0 ensuring proper response, investigation, and documentation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
- Facilitate safety training and educational programs for employees and subcontractors,\u00a0 covering topics such as fall protection, hazard communication, equipment operation,\u00a0 and emergency response.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
- Monitor and track safety performance metrics, preparing regular reports for\u00a0 management that highlight trends, successes, and areas needing attention. <\/span>\u2022 <\/span>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations related to\u00a0 steel building manufacturing and general contracting activities, and ensure compliance. <\/span>\u2022 <\/span>Develop and maintain a culture of safety by promoting open communication, proactive\u00a0 reporting, and accountability throughout the organization.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
- Collaborate with third-party safety consultants, when necessary, to bring in specialized\u00a0 expertise and conduct comprehensive safety audits.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
Qualifications:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards, as well as familiarity with Washington\u00a0 State safety requirements.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks, develop\u00a0 mitigation strategies, and implement effective solutions.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for delivering safety training,\u00a0 conducting investigations, and interacting with diverse teams.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
- Proven track record of successfully leading safety initiatives, implementing safety\u00a0 programs, and driving a safety-focused culture.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
- Proficiency in using MS Office, safety management software and tools to track incidents,\u00a0 manage training, and generate reports.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
- Collaborative and influential team player who can work effectively with individuals at all\u00a0 levels of the organization.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
- Willingness to travel to different project sites as required.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
- Clean driving record (must be insurable by CRSC insurance carrier).\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
Benefits:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>- Wage range depending on qualifications ($20 – $40 per hour)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
